Frequently asked questions
Living Hope Canine Rescue’s focus is to keep dogs “out” of shelters and to help decrease overpopulation and euthanasia. We do not have open foster slots for the general public. We would like to find out more information about why you need to surrender your dog to see if we have resources to help you. If this is not an option, we can consider a "Courtesy Listing" to help you after we have a full understanding of the situation. Please send photos and a bio of the dog via email to livinghoperesce@gmail.com. We do ask that you consider a donation to Living Hope Canine Rescue to help defray our operational costs.
North Carolina law requires that anyone who finds a stray dog must make a 'reasonable' attempt to find the owner before rehoming. Please take the dog to a veterinarian or Animal Control Shelter to have it scanned for a microchip. We do not have extra foster slots available for taking in strays. If you would like to foster and will keep the dog until adopted, we will consider taking the dog into our program. You will need to complete a Foster Application and work with us to get the dog vetted and processed.
